Joshua Carlson M.D.

Dr. Carlson earned a bachelor of science in Neuroscience from Brigham Young University
and his MD from New York University School of Medicine in New York.
He returned to the west coast for his internship at the University of California, Irvine and Long Beach VA Medical Center.
Dr. Carlson attended Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina for his residency in Ophthalmology.

He completed the prestigious two year medical & surgical Retina-Vitreous fellowship at Vanderbilt University Eye Institute in Nashville, Tennessee. There he trained under the direction of Stephen J Kim M.D., a nationally recognized expert in the field of both retina and uveitis. Dr. Carlson's dual training and experience in retina and uveitis is unique in Southern Oregon.


Dr. Carlson is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys all the Rogue Valley has to offer.

Dr. Carlson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO).
He is a Member of the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS), the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Medical Association.
